Hello all. Today I'm sharing the first of my Sushi Dolls April DT projects using the adorable Fae & Fox. I thought I'd attempt to colour Fae and her little fox friend using my limited supply of Copic markers and my new Copic airbrush. The result is two cards that I'm really proud of.
Here's number one:
Cute, right? Susi draws the most darling images. She makes me look good.
Here's card number two:
So sweet. And maybe a little more sophisticated.
Here's another look at the Sushi Dolls April 2014 release.
Head on over to Susi's store and get a few digis of your very own. Then make something and join the conversation on our Sushi Dolls Facebook page. I look forward to seeing you there...

A Little More Scent-imental
So today I'm sharing the rest of the cards I created during my crafty session with scent-imental by PTI. When you're on a roll it's so easy to keep going. Look at all the pretty paper...
Here's the start of round two - the melon. I love this stamp. I love that the folks at PTI were able to keep all the parts separate so that you can ink up the melon in different colours, yet keep it simple enough that it was easy to create the final image. And that sentiment brings a smile to my face...
I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do with the Kisses. The wrappers are usually silver and I don't own any silver inks. Then I remembered I had some gold embossing powder and this little gem was born. The background paper is from the Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder 6x6 pad.
Next up is the cup of tea, just the way I like it - with a little touch of steam rising from the cup. I used some patterned paper scraps to cover the card base.
And last, but not least, the pumpkin. Once again, I used some scraps of patterned paper. I really love that I'm using up my supplies right now, making room for some of that great new stuff on my wishlist. All the journaling cards were edged with Touch Twin Brush Marker BR134. The pumpkin is covered in Wink of Stella Clear and sealed with clear embossing since this card might make its way to OWH this year.
So there you have it. One more stamp set down, many more to go. Use Your Stamps 2014 is officially underway!

My Pink Stamper NSD Challenge #2
I managed to complete challenge #2! I'm quite proud of myself and very ready to take a break. Here is my take on the Kraft cardstock challenge.
Kraft cardstock from PTI was used as the base. Patterned paper was from CTMH Sweet Home (now retired); stamps from CTMH A Sip; Nesties Labels 3 and a EK punch finished it off.

Somethin Special (5 of 52)
Here's a little V Day card I created for my girl Nika - can't leave her out. The poor dear is trapped in a house full of boys, so you know I had to make her something girlie.
Flourishes abound on this sweet, swirly little number. I started with my Effervescence border punch from Fiskars so I could get lots of curves and circles. Then followed up with a beautiful K&Co heart flourish and finished off with a delicate bow.
Laters,
TraceyJ

Hugs & Kisses (4 of 52)
This is a little something I put together for my girl Nikki for V Day. It came together as I was watching a youtube video where the presenter was doing demo in which she punched both sides of the paper with a border punch. Now, it's not that this had never occurred to me before, but just watching her punch away made me think of pretty scallops and ribbon. So I grabbed a post it and sketched it down quickly before I forgot my idea and then I went in search of the perfect punch.
As I was cutting out the sentiment, I thought of all those cool Nestabilities tags I've been seeing all over the net. But I have none, so I improvised with the Corner Chomper. I'm thinking it turned out ok. Inked up everything with Brown Bag by CTMH and called it done. I'm really liking this look. I'll definitely be trying it in the future with some other border punches I own.
On a side note, I was watching Run Fat Boy Run this morning, and I have to say, I highly recommend it. I won't lie and tell you it's the best movie I've ever seen, but it was so fun, and the ending had me in tears. I thoroughly enjoyed it and so will you.
On to the ingredients of this card:
Cardstock - PTI and Bazzill; Paper - BG Eva; Stamps - Inkadinkado Hearts & Love; Ink - CTMH Brown Bag, Blush, Garnet, Black; Punch - MS Doily Lace; Ribbon - Dots & Dashes; Adhesive - Glue Dots, Tombow Mono Aqua, Scotch Foam Tape.
Until next time,
TraceyJ

Love (Card 2 of 52)
All week I've been feeling a little under the weather - tired, achy, sniffly... Well today I woke up with a runny nose and a sore throat. I figured that meant I wouldn't actually manage to make a card this week. Since this is only the second week, I felt that it was way too early to start skipping, so I pushed myself to get it done and I'm glad I did. This week's card is for my mom who always pushes through to get things done, especially when she's feeling less than 100%. Love you Momma!
My inspiration for this card came from a sketch I found on the Sweet Stop blog. So here it is - Sketch #SSS39. Enjoy!
I covered the card base with paper, punched out a border, added some chipboard, and finished it off with a bow.
See you next week!
Supplies used: Paper - Basic Grey Eva Collection; Chipboard - 3Birds; Punch - Fiskars Scalloped Sentiments; Adhesive - Tombo Mono Aqua Liquid Glue, ATG 714.
