Well Hello There!

Can you believe I haven't posted since last year?!?

It's been a rough couple of weeks which started with the death of my beloved 'puter - my beautiful laptop which served me so well and so faithfully for so many years. I was not able to recover anything, no pictures, no files; it's been painful to say the least. Fortunately, I had begun saving some files to my Dropbox, so not everything is lost, just everything before 2013. I know! I'm tearing up too. With the help of a wonderful and knowledgeable friend, I was able to take advantage of the holiday sales and purchase a new laptop. 'Puter was a steal of a deal that came with full versions of Office, Photoshop Elements, and Premier Elements already installed. New laptop? Not so much. Guess it's time to expand my skill set with the GIMP. Hopefully it won't be too much of a learning curve...

But you didn't come here to lament the death of 'puter, a nasty bout of the flu, and the chaotic return to school after many (many) years. So let's get to the first card of the new year appropriately titled: Hello.

I wanted to play with the angled greeting that was all the rage at the end of 2013. My first attempt (and hopefully not my last) included some washi tape from an older Simon Says Stamp card kit, cardstock, a stamp, ink, twine, and some bling. I tried to keep it clean and simple by angling the tape and following with the sentiment.

Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to cut my cardstock at an angle like Miss Maile Belles. I live in hope...

Supplies Used
stamps: PTI wonderful words hello
cardstock: a|s pebble
ink: HA raspberry jam
other: a|s clear twinkles, a|s onyx baker's twine, washi tape

Until next time...
Hugs and Kisses.

This is a great CAS card. Perfect for a guy, too. Sorry to hear about your computer. That always sucks.
